Woke up 2 am today to work on one story I needed to submit early this morning. Went back to sleep couple of hours later. Woke up again at 5:30 a.m. to take a bath and rushed my way to the newsroom at around 6:30. I was glad I was able to leave the apartment before heavy traffic begins at 7 a.m.
I was in the jeepney already when I realized I left my cellphone. I can't go without it because I need it in my work. I get important calls and texts (SMS) everyday. So I had to go back to get it. I ended up heading back to the newsroom (with my cellphone) at 7 am, when traffic was heavy already. Shoot.
Didn't have breakfast. But glad I had my Singaporean coffee to keep my stomach fine.:-) At 10 am, I had to go out the newsroom for a coverage. I was in the jeepney and guess what happened? I left my phone again! I had to go back to the newsroom. Sigh.
I have four editors expecting my stories today. Yes, TODAY. And the more I raced with time, the more I keep on losing it, like how I left my phone a couple of times. I had to go back to pick it up and yes, lose few minutes of my time. It meant a lot.
You see, my job is not always fun. It's deadly sometimes.
It's 6:30 in the evening now. My stomach is craving for food and my back demands some good massage. Sigh. But this deadly Tuesday is quite rewarding. Despite my carelessness, I was still able to submit my stories. I shall go home with a smile. Now, that's a typical experience for a writer. That's me. :-)
